Shipping & Packaging Instructions

We want to make the process as simple and smooth as possible. Please carefully read the instructions below to ensure your hats arrive safely and can be properly cleaned.

Step 1: Packing Your Hats

You can use any sturdy box you have available — Amazon boxes, USPS Priority Mail boxes, or any recycled box that’s clean, dry, and free of strong odors.

However, we recommend sticking close to these dimensions to match your prepaid label and avoid extra shipping charges:

1 Hat: Recommended Box Size: 8” x 8” x 6”

3 Hats: Recommended Box Size: 10” x 10” x 6”

5 Hats: Recommended Box Size: 12” x 10” x 8”

Tip: It’s always better for the box to be slightly larger than too tight. Avoid crushing or overly compressing the hats.

Step 2: Prepaid Label

After checkout, you’ll receive a prepaid shipping label via email.
The label will be specifically created based on the hat quantity you selected at checkout (1, 3, or 5 hats).
Please print the label and securely affix it to the outside of your box using clear packing tape. Ensure the entire label is visible and not wrinkled or obscured.

Step 3: Drop Off

Simply drop your package off at any UPS location or drop box.
Your prepaid label covers all standard UPS Ground services (depending on weight and box size).

Shipping Insurance, Tracking & Responsibility

All prepaid labels include basic tracking.
While we take great care with your hats once they arrive at our facility, The Hat Caddy is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged packages while in transit to or from our facility.
If you’re concerned about loss or damage, you may choose to purchase additional shipping insurance on your own when dropping off your package.
Once your package is received, we will inspect the hats before beginning the cleaning process.
If we notice any major damage or issues that could impact the cleaning process, we will contact you directly before proceeding.

Additional Tips:

Do not ship hats in envelopes or soft mailers. Always use a rigid box to prevent crushing.
Avoid using boxes with strong smells (perfume, smoke, pets, etc.).
Please remove any accessories or inserts (pins, clips, cardboard shapers, etc.) before shipping.
If possible, place hats in a plastic bag inside the box for an added layer of protection from moisture.
